Transnational Art 2015 is Osaka’s first major group exhibition of the year featuring area-based Japanese and International contemporary artists, photographers, multimedia artists, graphic artists and illustrators at the prestigious Enokojima Art, Culture and Creative Centre, Osaka from January 27th to February 1st, 2015. The exhibition’s unique character is founded on its eclectic array of art in numerous genres and styles, bringing together artists from around the world for one week in the heart of Japan. Transnational Art is designed to introduce works and artists to the wider Kansai art scene and create a dialog and connections between people of various linguistic, national, cultural, artistic and professional backgrounds. Through these connections participants are able to grow their experience and take advantage of new professional opportunities. The Exhibition is curated by Celio Barreto and Yachiyo Nakao of SoHo Art Gallery, and counts amongst its supporters The Flanders Center, Osaka Arts Planning, Holbein Works and Holbein Artist Materials, MASA Corporation, The Agency for Cultural Affairs and many other private and public entities.
